About CARE
The Committee on Audience Research and Evaluation (CARE) is a Standing Professional Committee of the American Association of Museums (AAM). CARE provides a forum for museum professionals who believe that understanding the visitor is an essential part of museum planning and operation, and disseminates information about systematic research and evaluation pertaining to museum audiences.
Standing Professional Committees (SPCs) There are 13 Standing Professional Committees (SPC) in AAM. SPCs serve the following organizational capacity:
- Act as a resource to AAM in developing strategic initiatives
- Play a major role in developing the AAM Annual Meeting program and other opportunities for professional education
- Communicate issues of concern between its constituents and AAM
CARE Board Contains a list of elected officers and nominated positions and consist of a Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Program Chair, Exhibition Competition Judge, Gauge Editor, Current Trends Editor, and AAM CARE Luncheon Committee.
Regional Representatives Lists the CARE regional representatives, consisting of the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Southeastern, Midwest, Mountain Plains and Western regions.
Operating Guidelines Describes the rules and operating procedures of CARE.
